Paul Buzine is considered to be West Coast Florida's most
versatile,
innovative and experienced guitar instructor. Growing up in the Northeast,
Paul listened to, absorbed and studied with many of the great musicians
and guitarists of our time, including William Leavitt, Charlie Binocus,
Dennis Sandole, Sal Salvador, Tal Farlow, Harry Leahy, Jack Wilkins,
Gene Bertoncini, Mike Stern, Mick Goodrick, John Abercrombie and John
Scofield.
Extensive studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston has enabled Paul to perfect his performing, theory/composition, sight reading, and music business skills. Teaching guitar since the late 70's, Paul has created many contemporary and innovative guitar study techniques.
Paul taught at several music schools and conservatories including, The Guitar Study Center (New York City), adjunct jazz guitar teacher at the University of South Florida, The Players School of Music, (Clearwater, Florida) and Mars Learning Center in Tampa, Florida (awarded Teacher of the month five times). Currently teaching guitar at The Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Paul is also composing and publishing his new Guitar Instructional Series, Living Thru The Fretboard.
Many guitar instructors specialize in teaching one particular
style. Paul's
extensive musical education and training has given him the ability to
teach and borrow from many different styles, including note reading
and tab. This approach can lead to maximizing the amount of time it
takes to play, study and create your own individual Guitar style.
